BollyMadrid 2009

June 8th, 2009 Hitesh No comments

For the 2nd year in a row, the Lavapies neighbourhood as well as the city council organised a 4 day “Bollywood” event in Madrid. It was mainly composed of a couple of Kiosks selling food, clothes and a large stage with performances all day long and the latest Bollywood flicks projected at night.

I’d like to thank the agency Mr.Monkey (www.mrmonkey.es) for granting me press access in this event.

15 de Mayo – Pradera de San Isidro

May 18th, 2009 Hitesh No comments

Every 15th of May is a Bank holiday in Madrid to celebrate “San Isidro”. Spaniards (or better said, their small kids) will dress up for the occasion with traditional clothes from the region and will attend their local parks for fair’s with food, drinks and amusement rides. The pradera de San Isidro is a large park towards the south end of the City which is the most popular destination for this festivity, in fact it and the adjacent streets in the neighbourhood are named after the festivity.

The following photos were taken at the Pradera de San Isidro. Personally it was my first visit there, in my younger years I used to attend a park which was a bit closer to my house and not too far from the Pradera itself.
