Rome

Previously I blogged about The Roman Colosseum and The Vatican. This post will sum up the best of everything else in Rome.

People from Pisa may hate me for this but I’m going to say it. There are only two reasons to go to Pisa, either you are a university student (its a large university town) or you want to see the leaning tower of Pisa and whatever may be around it (which is quite a lot). There I said it
I spent a day in Pisa and almost all of it was in the area surrounding the famed tower, which in fact is a Bell tower for the cathedral which is right in front of it.

Florence is famous for its art in the form of paintings, sculptures and architecture. This post focuses on some of the statues. The most famous one they have is “David” by Michelangelo… which for some reason we can’t take photos of so they placed a replica outside so tourists can take as many pictures as they like. You can see the real one in wikipedia.

I only spent 3 days in Florence, but about half of those featured some rain. Whilst it ruined the “postcard style” photos, it did give me a nice opportunity to catch a different atmosphere.
