2011 in Pictures

This page displays some of the photos I've taken during 2011.

January

I started off the year in Goa (India) to attend my sister's wedding. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take many photos since I was otherwise busy with the wedding preparations.

February

March

During March I visited some wetlands in the province of Ciudad Real. Back in Madrid I photographed the opera house as well as the first Holi celebration in Spain (An indian paint throwing festival).

April

During April I was in Zurich (Switzerland) for a couple of days and took a short holiday in Granada (Spain). Back in Madrid I photographed the annual zombie walk.

May

In May I took a holiday in the USA during which I visited Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Charlotte.

June

In June I visited the "Monasterio de Piedra" national park in the province of Zaragoza (Spain).

July

During July I visited the "Bardenas Reales" national park in the province of Navarra as well as the neighbouring "wine country" (La Rioja, Alava). Back in the Madrid area I visited the town of Buitrago de Lozoya as well as Ocaña where I did my first parachute jump!

August

During August I spent some days in Cuenca (Spain). In the Madrid area I photographed NASA's deep space installations and was caught in an unexpected thunderstorm during a hike!

September

September was a "slow month" photographically speaking. I went out to an abandoned town near Madrid for some lightpainting.

October

In October I spent a couple of days in Zurich (Switzerland) as well as Salamanca (Spain).

November

In November I visited the "Jerte" valley in the province of Cáceres.
